Hello! I am Jamie Hammond.

I have loved gymnastics, cheer, and tumbling my entire life. My Dad, Jim Nelson, was an All-American gymnast at ASU. Thankfully, he taught me so much and helped my passion for teaching others grow.

I first cheered at Poston Jr. High, and then the Varsity squad at Mountain View High School for 3 years. Remarkably, our cheer team won the 5A State Championship title all 3 years and we even won the National Championship title both years we competed (1999 and 2000). I currently am the assistant coach on the Varisty Cheer team at Mountain View High School where we placed 3rd in UCA Nationals in 2025.

I Love Coaching:

As soon as I could get my own job I began Coaching. When I was a sophomore, junior, and senior I coached at the AZ Academy of Gymnastics. After graduation, I coached gymnastics, tumbling & cheer classes at Desert Devils. Ultimately, I helped start their cheer program now known as Power Elite! I also have had the privilege of coaching and choreographing for high schools all over Arizona that have won multiple state championships.

Overall, I coached from my home for 15 years and absolutely LOVED it. Finally, a few years ago I opened a new “official” studio, but I still call it my home. Welcome to Jamie’s Tumble House!
